Bringing together ancient and modern, this enchanting installation celebrates unique textures, forms and colours of New Zealand driftwood. Featuring native and introduced timbers- beech, rimu, totara, rewarewa, manuka, eucaliptus  the composition unfolds to the eye in a dynamic wave, representing the Four elements: Fire, Earth, Water and Metal. The scale of this work creates an impressive visual impact.
Our driftwood pieces have been carefully selected and crafted to reveal their natural form. Some are carved more extensively adding intricate accents. Finished with our premium Tea Tree & Fur wax and finely Finished with our premium Tea Tree & Fur wax and finely polished, the “Four Elements” includes stainless steel cylinders and is joined together by stainless steel rings and chain, creating free movement. Carabiners connecting strings to the top, allow for movement along the rod, so the desirable hang can be achieved.
